Nokia E50 is another Series 60 Symbian 9.1 smartphone from the famous Finnish manufacturer. It’s the small sizes and ergonomic shape that attract most of the attention.

There are also a large number of free software applications available. Since I am an avid shopper, I’d share with you my top 3 picks for managing my software craving. And best of all, they are free.

Among its features, the most significant are: two different views: Item selection view (Select items that should be contained on the current shopping list) and shopping list view (contains only items that are selected but not yet bought); Quantities/Remarks can be added. Just write in the amount, select the currencies, select YES, and press Result. The size of the live currency rate is approximately 2Kb. After few seconds, you will see the requested result. Nokia 6220 Classic Cell Phones

March 6, 2008 – 3:47 pm

At 325 Euros, the quad-band Nokia 6220 Classic is the cheapest 5 megapixel shooter that you can get with Carl Zeiss optics and, ahem, a xenon flash. There’s even TV-out functionality. We have here what seems to be a Nokia N82 clone-baby, except it falls a little short in the looks department. Source.

Nokia 8600 Luna The Super Classy of the Nokia Cell Phones Family

March 5, 2008 – 12:26 pm

This is the latest member of the high class Nokia cell phones family. And you will not go unnoticed with this phone at all. Again, you have to consider that the style and exclusivity come with a price, but aren’t we all fashion victims ?

The rounded corners and smooth features give it an almost-futuristic appearance - as does the on-screen menu system. Yet inside it has all the familiarity and quality of a Nokia handset, with a 2 megapixel camera for photos and videos, an MP3 player for music and an enormous 1GB of built-in memory. Ignore the catwalk and take a look at mobile phone design instead.

Luna is impossible to compare to regular handsets. There’s a lot lacking in terms of functionality: memory card, Mass Storage mode, miniUSB, 3G support, high-quality camera. Quite a few downsides, but all those seem exactly the functions people likely to buy a Luna will usually overlook. There are plenty of lifestyle gadgets to do all those jobs.

And then, the Luna has some aspects worth praising: the perfect display, fast user interface and exquisite bodywork. The handset is beautifully crafted and probably very durable. After all, the Luna excels at what it will be most likely used for: calling, messaging, and getting noticed. No doubt about that last one.

All in all, a superb tool to make your way in the urban jungle. And to be able to do it in style, too.

Nokia N96 Cell Phones Announced

March 3, 2008 – 1:44 pm

The N96 is looking to be the powerhouse of Nokia’s 2008 line. You get a large, 2.8″ screen, a whopping 16 gigabytes of internal memory (and support for expandable memory on top of that), a nice camera (Carl Zeiss, 5 megapixels, dual LED flash, the whole nine yards), A-GPS + location tagger, HSDPA (WCDMA 900/2100), and of course, the kick-stand, in a package that’s slightly thinner than the original N95.Alas, the N96 won’t start shipping until the third quarter of 2008, a time that seems light-years away. And the price is sure to break some hearts/wallets: the Nokia N96 will retail for 550 euros = a little over 800 US dollars. Source

Nokia 9500 Cell Phones the Super Communicators

March 3, 2008 – 9:21 am

Browse the Internet in rich full color, on a wide, easy-to-read screen. Work with office documents - not just letters and memos, but presentations and databases too. Get them from your corporate network via Wireless LAN or fast mobile access. The Nokia 9500 Communicator offers high-capacity built-in memory - 80 MB, plus a memory card slot for even more storage space.

It is a pity we have had to wait for the new communicator a long time. All decisions regarding the new devices are in the manufacturers’ hands though. Nokia 9500 Communicator has fulfilled our expectations. It is a brilliant mobile device, which will make its users happy and their life more comfortable. Most of all I would like to praise Communicator’s communication strengths. In contrast to the old model, which was falling behind, the new Nokia cell phones offer - except for 3G - practically everything one would like to have.

What about competition? If we leave notebooks apart, the devices, which come closest to Nokia, are the MDA communicators and DataPhone. Sony Ericsson P910 seems to be a dangerous competitor as well. Nevertheless Nokia 9500 Communicator will be your best choice provided you need a high-quality keyboard and something more than just external accessories.

Key features

* Fully functional keyboard
* Big detailed display
* 80 MB built-in memory, support for additional memory with MultiMediaCard (MMC)
* Wi-Fi, EDGE and Bluetooth support
* Data profiles can be sorted out according one’s priorities
* Progressive web browser
* Office applications supporting the most frequently used formats
* Comfortably compatible with computer
* A very effective calendar and address book
* Integrated camera

Main drawbacks

* Size and weigh, square design
* Some of you may miss the touchscreen display
* A certain software instability

Nokia 8800 cell Phones in a class of its own

March 1, 2008 – 10:12 am

Nokia 8800 is a phone very similar to the 6230i model. The Nokia models leader is based above all on design, exceptionality and exclusiveness. I must add that 8800 met the expectations to the last word.

The new owner may be sure that he will rarely meet another one with the same phone in his hands. Shortly after, he might regret only for the reason that Nokia didn’t finalize some details for a full satisfaction. Such as - the lack of memory card, the need of non-stop cleaning of the metal body and the slides, the lack of good handsfree and the lack of system connector.

From the sapphire coating of the 262,000 color display to the distinctive slide mechanism which reveals its 2 mega-pixel camera, or even its extended battery life, every seemingly minor detail of the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition is honed to perfection. The ergonomic keypad undulates like the glimmering dunes of the night desert, whilst the jewel-like navigation key shines like the brightest star in the darkest night. The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition truly is unique, created out of the inherent beauty and chaos of nature and distilled into a modern form that is graceful, sympathetic and spare.

So there you have it, it is all about style with these Nokia 8800 cell phones. But you got to realize that style and exclusivity come with a pretty high price tag. And don’t expect any steep discounts in the future either.

Nokia SU-33W Mobile TV Receiver

February 29, 2008 – 4:38 am

The SU-33W is a fairly small (92.4 x 45 x 9.8mm) device that can stream mobile TV to your Nokia N73 via Bluetooth connection. It’s powered by the now-infamous BL-5C batteries (up to 12 hours of battery life on one charge).Handy, yes, provided you have DVB-H broadcasting in your area.

As mentioned before, compatibility itself is a little spotty: Nokia’s accessory page says that the SU-33W is only compatible with the N73, yet there’s no mention of this anywhere else. Source Here.
